Description

It is always rewarding to breath new life into an old space. As you can see in the gallery, this project was a beautiful marriage of new and old building materials. Westland was the general contractor on this project for the law firm of Cochrane Saxberg Johnston Johnson Scarcello LLP. They moved into a well known heritage building in downtown Winnipeg; The historic McKim Building, formerly the Crocus Building, located at the corner of Main Street and Bannatyne Avenue.

Arnott & Associates did wonderful work with the interior design. We rejuvenated the original tin ceiling, and worked hard to match that tin ceiling with new pieces where it was needed. In these photographs you can't miss the large wood beams and columns, along with plenty of glass and black metal accents that enhance the heritage style. The moment you walk into the front door, your eyes are drawn to the waterfall of marble flowing from the countertop of the front desk to the floor beneath your feet.
