Our ISO Certification

Our ISO Certification

Our commitment to holding ourselves accountable to a Quality Management System (QMS) that conforms to an international standard demonstrates that we strongly believe that in order for any business to be successful, not only must a system be followed but it also needs to be directed with vision.

In 2009 Westland put itself to the test and made the commitment of voluntarily putting significant resources into refining our system so that it would conform to the ISO 9001 standard. As a result we developed a QMS that consists of a set of policies, procedures, records, objectives and more, which direct and control our organization with respect to quality as well as internal and external auditing mechanisms that would ensure we would meet the ISO 9001 standard. By the start of 2010 an external auditor* certified that we indeed had succeeded and out QMS met the then current ISO 9001:2008 edition of the standard.

Seeing an increased need for risk-based thinking and additional flexibility on how companies from varying industries manage and maintain their documentation, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) released an updated version of the 9001 standard - ISO 9001:2015. Eager to make improvements to our system, we made additional refinements and improvements to our QMS. Westland has since been certified as meeting these revised requirements and have been issued our ISO 9001:2015 certification by our external auditors*.

As one of only a handful of General Contractors across the country to have been awarded this distinction, we take great pride in our ISO 9001 certification. See our ISO 9001:2015 certification
